The County of Los Alamos, New Mexico, was making streetscape improvements to the block in front of the Community Building.  Searching for colorful, whimsical and functional public art to include in the project, the Art in Public Places committee was referred to Colin Selig’s work.  Two benches and three spherical sculptures were commissioned for the grounds and pathway leading into the Community Building.  The sculptures have programmable LED lighting, giving them an additional presence at night.
